Stronger and simpler to assemble than Cambro's Camshelving® Elements and Basics Plus shelving units, the Cambro CPU244864VS4480 Camshelving Premium starter shelving unit measures 48 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 64 inches high, is comprised of four shelving tiers, and has a 2,000-pound full-load unit capacity. Traverses, dovetails, and two post kits ship with this shelving system, and unlike the Elements and Basics Plus units, its dovetails are molded into the preassembled posts, eliminating a time-consuming step in field assembly. To match other Premium shelving components, it's speckled gray. It's safe to store in temperatures from -36 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit, and because its shelves, posts, and traverses are constructed of rust- and corrosion-resistant polypropylene, it's safe to store in humid storage spaces, such as dishrooms.

The Cambro CPU244864VS4480 starter shelving unit's four shelving tiers feature three vented shelf plates and one solid shelf plate to accommodate a wider product range than shelving units with only solid or louvered shelves. Air can pass through the vented shelves' gapped surfaces, surround product for improved airflow, and reduce moisture and dust accumulation. The solid shelf's smooth, flat surface supports small or irregularly shaped goods that could slip through the louvered shelves' slots. This rigid surface also prevents leaky goods from spilling onto other shelves or the floor, and it won't crease folded linens. To withstand high-volume use in various environments, the shelves' polypropylene construction resists rust, corrosion, and damage from saltwater and harsh chemicals. They're treated with Camguard® antimicrobial protection, which hinders growth of fungi, mold, and other microbes between regular cleaning cycles. Simple to clean, the shelves can be wiped clean or removed and washed in a dishmachine.
