Designed to accommodate two 72-inch-high pan racks, the Traulsen RIH232H-FHS Spec-Line heated cabinet includes two doors that measure 27¹⁄₈ inches wide by 72³⁄₁₆ inches high. In order to insert and remove pan racks swiftly, operators can roll them up the stainless steel threshold ramp. The doors stay locked in place when opened past 120 degrees so users don't have to hold the door while loading the racks. When closed, the doors can be locked to prevent tampering. Part of the R series, this two-section unit has an interior and exterior made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel to ensure a long service life.

The Traulsen RIH232H-FHS heated cabinet uses ducted fan air-distribution to circulate warm air throughout the cabinet, eliminating cold spots that could impact food quality. To ensure product is stored within a safe temperature range, the unit's serpentine-style heater generates heat between 135 and 180 degrees Fahrenheit. High-density, foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation is built into the cabinet and doors to prevent temperature changes. If cabinet temperatures rise or drop unexpectedly, an audio/visual alarm notifies the operator. Operators can manage other features with the microprocessor control system, which includes a three-digit LED display, a temperature readout, a one-time start-up temperature adjustment mechanism, and an on/off button.
