To ensure prepared food is held at safe temperatures, the Traulsen RIH232LP-FHS Spec-Line heated cabinet uses a serpentine-style heater that generates and maintains temperatures between 140 and 180 degrees Fahrenheit. The cabinet and doors are insulated with 2-inch-thick, foamed-in-place polyurethane that is high density to preserve temperatures, even when the doors are opened for short periods of time. Its ducted fan air-distribution system moves heat throughout the cabinet while preserving food texture. Users can manipulate temperatures and manage operational settings with the Smart Control system, which features an LED display, temperature settings, and visual alarms when a critical event occurs, such as a power failure.

The Traulsen RIH232LP-FHS heated cabinet's roll-thru layout enables operators to access pan racks from the front or rear. With its two 66 5⁄16-inch-high doors, the unit can accommodate two pan racks that measure 27 inches wide by 29 inches deep by 66 inches tall. Users can push the racks into the unit via an included stainless steel threshold ramp; its four full-length doors stay locked in an open position when pushed past 120 degrees. Interior stainless steel guides help secure the pans in place inside the cabinet. For longevity, the exterior and interior are stainless steel—a durable, corrosion- and rust-resistant metal.
