The Hoshizaki SR48B-12 prep table is a piece of equipment designed to be incorporated behind the counter of delis and similar establishments looking to craft custom sandwiches, salads, subs, tacos, or quesadillas. This is done on the 1⁄2-inch-thick cutting board. This unit ships with 12 sixth-size pans designed keep pre-prepped produce or meat close at hand; these pans sit 1 1⁄2 inches below the fitted stainless steel cover. The cover is hinged for simple opening and closing to shield the product from contaminants when needed. This two-section unit is 48 inches in width by 35 inches in depth by 44 1⁄4 inches in height, and its self-contained, front-breathing design can be installed with minimal hassle. For other inventory, the base features a cabinet that's accessed behind two heavy-duty doors, which remain closed with the one-piece magnetic gasket. A spring-assisted design feature allows this door to close when it's accidentally left ajar, and it features a 90-degree stay-open feature.

Users can control the temperature setpoint from 32 to 52 degrees Fahrenheit, and for simple autonomy that streamlines this unit's operation, it's supplied with a time-initiated defrost system.
