Perishables and bulk ingredients can be stored on this Cambro CPU184264V5480 Camshelving® Premium starter shelving unit's five vented shelves. Air moves uniformly through the shelves' slotted surfaces and circulates around product to maintain even temperatures and reduce the buildup of moisture and dust to ensure products are stored in appropriate environments. While each shelf can support 800 pounds, loading the shelving system with more than 2,000 pounds could weaken it. The shelves can be adjusted along the posts to accommodate new products as stock is rotated. They're also removable so they can be wiped clean or sanitized in a dishmachine when they become dirty. To slow bacterial growth between these sanitizing cycles, Camguard® antimicrobial agent is embedded into the shelves.

Like other Premium series units, this Cambro CPU184264V5480 louvered starter shelving unit includes the necessary components for assembly to expedite field setup. While Cambro's Basics Plus and Elements units require operators to fasten the dovetails to the posts, this shelving system's dovetails are molded into the posts, eliminating a tedious installation task. The four posts also ship assembled, and 10 traverses are included. Once it's assembled, it measures 42 inches wide by 18 inches deep by 64 inches high and features a speckled gray appearance that complements other Premium shelving components and equipment. Because the shelves, posts, and traverses are made of polypropylene, they resist rust and corrosion in humid environments, such as dishrooms. Overall, this system can be stored in environments between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit.
