Leak-prone goods, small or irregularly shaped items, and folded linens can be stored on the solid shelf's flat, smooth surface. The louvered shelves feature gapped surfaces to improve airflow, which is necessary for storing perishables properly. To withstand daily deliveries and support heavy loads for long periods, these shelves accommodate 800 pounds each, but no more than 2,000 pounds should be loaded onto the entire unit. Their corrosion-resistant polypropylene construction withstands harsh chemicals and saltwater, can be wiped clean or sanitized in a warewasher, and contain antimicrobial protection that slows bacterial and fungal growth between cleanings.
