The Cambro CPU245484VS5PKG Camshelving® Premium shelving unit's 54-inch-wide by 24-inch-deep by 84-inch-high footprint consists of five shelves. Four of these levels have a vented design, using gaps in their surfaces to promote airflow around stored items. This movement keeps cold temperatures uniform in walk-in freezers or refrigerators and eliminates dust buildup in dry storage areas. The remaining shelf is solid—ideal for small or irregularly shaped items that could fall through vented shelving's gaps. This construction also is great for linen storage and leak-prone products.

Each of the five shelves can hold 800 pounds, with the unit accommodating a maximum of 2,000 pounds in total. Because they're made of polypropylene, the shelves resist damage from salt air, food acid, chemicals, moisture, and humidity. This material is smooth and easy to wipe clean, and when the shelf plates must be sanitized, they can be removed and run through the dishwasher. Between cleanings, the plates are protected from bacteria, mold, and fungus by an antimicrobial agent, preventing stains, odors, and product degradation.
