With an overall capacity of 2,000 pounds, the Cambro CPU214884VS5PKG Camshelving® Premium starter shelving unit has five levels. Designed to accommodate various applications, this model has both vented and solid shelves. The four louvered shelves have gaps to create a clear airflow path, maintaining uniform temperatures while preventing dust buildup in dry storage areas. Its solid shelf provides a storage option for small and irregularly shaped items that could slip through the gaps in vented shelves. The solid surface is also ideal for potentially leaky products and linen storage.

Because they're made of polypropylene, the shelf plates are corrosion resistant, strong, and easy to clean. This plastic resists damage from moisture, humidity, chemicals, and acidic food, and it's safe in temperatures between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit. With this high level of durability, the shelves can be installed in dry pantries, dishrooms, and walk-in refrigerators and freezers. When they're dirty, the shelf plates can be wiped down or cleaned in a commercial dishwasher. Between these cleanings, integrated Camguard® antimicrobial protection prevents stains, odors, and product degradation by inhibiting mold and bacterial growth.

The Cambro CPU214884VS5PKG starter shelving unit is engineered to support heavy products and frequent deliveries. Because it's part of the Premium series, this shelf model is easier to assemble than Basics Plus and Elements units. Its unassembled post kits have molded-in dovetails that hold the traverses in place on the posts. The posts and traverses are made of steel and have polypropylene coatings for durability and corrosion resistance. When it's fully assembled, the shelf unit has a 48-inch width, 21-inch depth, and 84-inch height.
