Hatco S-9 Description
The Hatco S-9 Imperial booster heater has a large tank that can hold 16 gallons of water. This tank is surrounded by heat-retaining fiberglass insulation on the outside and coated with corrosion-resistant Castone&Reg; on the inside. Metal-sheathed heating elements run through the tank, directly heating the water, and for quick response times, the immersed thermostat quickly registers temperature changes. If the temperature gets too high or the water gets too low, the elements stop heating, preventing permanent damage to the interior.
This Hatco S-9 water booster heater is designed to bring water to 180 degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature where bacteria begins to die off. However, to accommodate low-temperature machines, its thermostat can be lowered to 140 degrees. It can warm 90 gallons of water at a 40-degree rise or 52 gallons of water at a 70-degree rise. Its pressure and temperature relief valve and pressure reduction valve help ensure it operates properly, reducing the risk of user injury.
