The Hatco S-24 Imperial water heater warms water to 180 degrees Fahrenheit for the final dishwashing cycle. It can heat 241 gallons per hour on a 40-degree-Fahrenheit rise and 138 gallons per hour on a 70-degree-Fahrenheit rise. To keep operation straightforward, the unit is operated with just a single on/off switch, while a pilot light indicates when the booster is actively heating up water. For checking the temperature and pressure levels, the machine has two gauges.

For longevity, a high-temperature limit and low-water cut-off stop operation if needed, protecting the internal components from damage. However, if they require maintenance, parts are accessible through the front cover. This Hatco S-24 booster heater features fiberglass insulation and a heat trap to prevent heat loss and ensure energy efficiency. Finished in powder-coated hammertone, the booster heater has enough durability to hold up in a commercial kitchen.
