Hatco C-9 Description
The Hatco C-9 booster heater has a 6-gallon storage tank lined with Castone, a substance similar to concrete that protects the tank from corrosion and resists limescale buildup. Its exterior is protected with a stainless steel front panel and a powder-coated, hammertone body to resist scratches. Fiberglass insulation lines the interior of the booster heater, preventing heat from being lost into the ambient air, as a built-in heat trap keeps heat from escaping through the cold water inlet.
In an hour, this booster heater can raise 90 gallons of water 40 degrees Fahrenheit or 52 gallons of water 70 degrees Fahrenheit, increasing water to the 180 degrees Fahrenheit required for sanitizing dishes. The Hatco C-9 booster heater is protected from overheating by a high-limit switch and from dangerous pressure buildup by a pressure-relief valve
