Not sure i would buy again

It literally took all day to melt the chocolate and get it to the right temp for dipping. Thats with putting it on high for 6 hours to completely melt, then another 3 turned down to lowest temp to cool for dipping temperature. I have spent numerous hours and taken several notes to see if i can do it more effeciently and it has proven not possible.

Great product

It's suppose to hold at 140, but if you have water under the tray inserts, it will throw off the thermostat and heat up to 180. People who are complaining about it being too hot most likely have water under the trays. It took me 2 minutes to call customer service and find this out. Now it's always 140.

It's supposed to be hot

I bought one of these for my ice cream shop and attached it to the back of my ice cream dipping cabinet. The other reviewers complain that it gets too hot, but the heat is what kills bacteria and keeps your scoops sanitary without the use of running water. Any cooler temp and it wouldn't be food safe. What we do at my business is put our scoops in a separate canister next to this dipper well. After using a scoop, we put it in the well for a few minutes so it has enough time to kill any bacteria while rinsing the scoop and then we take it out while it is still cool enough to handle and put it in the canister next to the well until our next customer arrives. If we have a rush, we just keep rotating the scoops in and out of the well so they are never too hot to handle. It's an easy solution. I also really like this because when you dip in-between scoops, it warms your scoop and makes the ice cream so much easier to scoop. We purchased Ove-Gloves to change the water, but we have found that even simple vinyl food service gloves create enough of a barrier against the heat if you handle the pan inserts by the corners. This is also great for conserving on our water bill and a better option environmentally.

Does not heat toppings

Can't use this dispenser as the toppings never get warm enough. Liked the idea of 3 compartments but it doesn't do the job. Would welcome the opportunity to return this toppings dispenser to Ka Tom.

I want another one~!

This is fantastic~! I love being able to hot hold my ice cream sauces and even cheese sauce in smaller amounts~! Hold temp of 125 is right and not a drop more....it squirts out insane fast if too hot. We will be getting another so I can have one in the kitchen and one out in the front for ice cream toppings. Def recommended for those who do not go through massive amounts of sauces/toppings at a time.

Good but HOT

I know this is supposed to be at a temp of 180 degrees which is great but it makes my ice cream scoops extremely hot and unable to handle them without special gloves or a towel. Maybe I need special scoops??? We also have a difficult time changing out the water throughout the day because it gets so extremely hot

Ingredients Clogging

I ordered 3 dispenser for small carrot flakes about 2mm, dried onions 3mm, and ginger 2mm... the lever/handle is very difficult to use because the dried ingredients blocks it. It won't go up or down until I use excessive force to break through the dried ingredients then it will dispense-- tricky product to use

The first order I received the neck of the bottle was damaged and it did not seal, so it leaked. You were nice enough to send me two more bottles, both of which leaked, so I was not able to use them either. depending on what you wanted to use them to dispense I suppose they might be okay. I wanted to use them for oil and vinegar, so they were not okay.

Great for warming dipping chocolate. The outside of the container is not insulated so it does get very hot.

Cannot recommend this pump

The staff won't use this pump because it drips really bad and makes a mess on our prep counter. We used it a few days, took it apart, put it back together per instructions, tried again and repeated this several times. No luck. It makes a horrible mess on our counters. Would not recommend to a friend OR an enemy.

We use this product for our condiment pumps at small, med, large sized restaurants. I can't find any cons, except that I don't really see a use for the integrated plastic hinge loops at the back because the lid just sits on top and doesn't connect to it.

Great Pump but lots of small parts

We use these in small, medium, large restaurants for condiment stations. The only drawback is that there are SO MANY small parts that can be lost when the units are cleaned. If not careful, you could lose them & end up with a non-functioning pump.

Very Satisfied!

The Topping Warmer works great for our needs. It's the perfect compact size and keeps hot caramel and hot fudge at the perfect temperature for ice cream sundaes!!

Not recommended for high traffic

I buy these for our powders that we use to make blended drinks. We do very high volume business and use the powder dispensers at a very fast pace. This item is definitely NOT for high traffic, high volume businesses. They are constantly breaking at the part that connects to the bracket. The reason is because powder gets in between the round area that moves the lever causing a lot of friction. The friction puts more pressure on the bracket and the plastic cracks. Its not because of any one type of powder either. ALL types of powders get stuck in the round area. This is a complete design flaw. If just one of our stores was having an issue then I'd blame the staff for misuse. We have five locations and ALL locations are having this issue. I'm spending a lot of money replacing this item. However, there isn't a better solution so for now I will continue to buy them. The best thing about this item is that it has the greatest adjustable portion control of any manual dispenser on the market.

Perfect tool for warm sundae sauces

We have limited space and needed a way to keep caramel and at least one other sauce warm for sundaes. This warmer is the perfect solution for our needs.

i own a drive in restaurant so i have alot of these pumps for my toppings----- i use it everyday so it has to be excellent quality which i know by buying from ka-tom ------great time on shipping.

Major company uses item... I would too!

Used this product (multiple items) everyday for over a year, for a major company. Loved it!! Make sure to maintain a good tempature for the item being used, and it can keep your food warm all day. If you mess with the temp, it can burn your food. Depending on the food item, tempatures differ. If unsure, I suggest using lower temps at first, so as not to burn food. Also, before you buy... think logically, you are adding items in a container that goes into water. You cannot completely fill the container, or it can overflow, spill water, and/or warm uneven. The water is a major factor in the warming of the food. And don't forget to maintain the water or items will burn! Overall, this is a great product. I really enjoyed using them. I am looking to buy one for myself soon for my home, as I entertain a lot, and this would be a great item to have.

We got this for our office break room. It's fun and functional. Great conversation starter with clients. We are a small marketing/advertising company and like the unexpected.

Does the Job

I went through numerous options of trying to present condiments/toppings for a concession stand. All failed in keeping products cool and presentable. I found this Server item and after testing on a very warm day (92 deg F) it performed as described. I have two and will buy two more. A little pricey, but, Katom seems to have the best price by far over others online.

hotdog vendors ALERT use this item!!!!!

this item is great for holding hotdog toppings; chopped onions , relish , sauerkraut, anything that you'd want to put on a hotdog that needs to be stored after the day is over . it fits nicely in a fridge on any shelf . easy to clean , easy to maintain . its not bulky , u just have to have the right size square cut so that it fits properly and it wouldnt let me not pick a con lol

You Get What You Pay For

I bought one for my restaurant a few months ago to keep my teriyaki sauce warm, it worked great! I bought a second for my trailer and it works like a champ. You pour cold sauce into the stainless steel container, turn it on and set the temperature. Come back in 10 minutes and its ready to go. It's size and power consumption are great too! Has a very small footprint so takes little space on my worktop refrigerator, and uses only 500W so my generator can easily support it.
