Unit blew up 3rd day in and they can't repair it

Everything was great for 3 days until a temperature controller went haywire and the tank went above boiling and literally blew up, sending hot water all over the place and flooding the machine internally. Luckily nobody was near enough to it to get burned. Have gotten a runaround on repair... they keep saying they will get the parts and contact me about it but they don't. It has been two months, the unit is sitting there blocking the handwashing sink and nothing is being done. I am pursuing a replacement or return.

A well made product with excellent design

Beware if you plan on using the Hot Water faucet!!

This unit brews coffee perfectly and quickly but it has a hot water spigot on it that shouldn't be there!! The flow is so slow it is useless for a commercial machine. Dumbest design I've ever seen. I need a high flow hot water spigot on my coffee machine for making tea for customers. I would have ordered the CW series machine which has the working hot water faucet on it if I had known how slow the water flow is out of this unit. Can't return it because they say it's working like it was designed to work. WHY design it this way... totally baffling...

I have owned several home Bunn Coffee Makers for the past 30 years. I have wanted to buy a commercial unit but our water quality wasn't very good. We bought another home last year and the water here is very good, so I decided to buy this commercial unit. No more dripping after brewing or grinds overflowing. I can actually buy parts like a burner or switch for the burner. This unit just works great. Coffee is one of the few pleasures in life for me and my wife so I just went for it. Yes it was expensive, but worth every cent. I couldn't recommend this enough for any household.

The coffee maker works great, however there is a persistent smell of melted plastic that has continued for over a week when it's plugged in.

Horrible Bunn product that breaks down within 5 months

If you have any source of lime, Bunn's Imix-5 valve kit will stop working. The machine will allow water to constantly drip through the front product dispense tubes. Even with a 3M hot beverage commercial filter, Bunn's valve kit is cheaply made. Bunn claims a 2 year parts and labor warranty, but they lie and deny will any service work. They only cover manufacture defects even though their valve kits are cheaply made compared to Grindmaster and Curtis. They will bill you $75 per hour plus a $75 travel charge. Their replacement parts are very expensive. We had a Grandmaster pic-5 for 12 years which never did this. Look into a Curtis or Grindmaster to save your money & time.

The "Cadillac" brewer!

The Bunn single airpot brewer is our church's second Bunn airpot brewer in the CWTF line. We also have the twin airpot brewer in another kitchen, and we love them both! Meeting different needs and having different voltage requirements makes for different selections. We are already talking of adding a second single brewer next to the new one as we need more brewer capacity. This will help with our current electrical outlets and eliminating the need for major changes. Customer service phone assistance was great when needing help changing the batch volume for our 3L airpots. My husband did the adjustments with ease after the call.

Excellent Product and Great Value

Product is perfect and (does what it says on the tin) great value for the price only fault is that it does not have an indicator light on it.

Not for serious coffee production

There are many issues with this coffee maker. The temperature is the most important issue. Since the water tank keeps the water "hot" all the time, the appliance is always ON. You cannot turn it off without unplugging it. When you pour in water for a pot of coffee, the temperature is not hot enough for decent coffee. This is especially the case if you dont need a full pot. The hole in the funnel is too wide and drains the water too quickly which results in a light brew and wasted coffee grounds. We have a much cheaper brand that doesn't brew until you turn it on and it is very hot and doesn't require as much coffee grounds. Since the return policy won't let me return it, we are stuck with a paperweight. Bunn is very disappointing.

Probably great if using low quality coffee

We purchase local roasted coffee and grind it in house. Since the water stays hot and brews it so quickly, you totally lose any quality taste of the coffee. Everyone in our office complains that the coffee tastes burnt. It probably is perfect for someone that brews LOTS of cheap coffee.

Bunn 3 Burner Coffee Maker

I purchased this for the church fellowship hall. Everyone loves it. The water stays hot (200 degrees) so it brews three pots in just a few minutes. Also has a hot water dispenser for hot chocolate or tea. No more filling and pouring water into brew and don't have to worry about turning off machine when not in use for several days. The direct water line is the best way to go.

A good quaility container

I ordered this to use at our large frequent family get togethers. Was very pleased at the appearance, quality and functioning of this piece. The only thing for me was, the openings in the lid to hook up to equipment for use in a restaurant. Wish I could get a solid lid.

Bunn is an excellent coffee system

Our coffee pot came with a defect, but after reporting it a service tech came out immediately and repaired. We appreciated the quick response. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

bought for high school football games

Used this one week, and a hopper quit working. Called customer service sent a repair man out only the 2nd week I owned it and got charged over 300 dollars to fix a brand new machine. I would have been fine if they fixed it for free but only in my 2nd week it stops working and charge me a repair fee. Not good customer service

I would and will buy the product again.

I own a coffee shop and I use the 1.5gal Nunn airpots for storage of coffee throughout the day. It's a good product but, mostly have to say I appreciate KaTom for good service. This is my second time doing business with them. We are scheduling much more for 2018 with KaTom.

Very nice product but be careful of the description. It leads you to believe that it can be connected to 120v or 240v. This unit requires a 208/240 v dedicated circuit. Unit operates on 120v but requires 208/240 for hot water.

Bought this as a spare.....

Bought this thinking I would use it as a daily decanter. I also have a glass decanter. I didn't realize this was made from plastic. Was a little disappointed in that. Maybe I didn't read the description well enough, so may be my fault. This will be put away for a back up, so it's nice to have it for that. As far as quality,,,,,, as plastic decanters go it seem to be a well made piece. If you are looking for a shatter proof unit then this may work out well for you.

Bunn Pour over

Love the coffee maker, my only complaint is the plastic top for pouring in the water. My old Bunn had a round stainless steel to accept water from any direction, the way the coffee maker sits on the counter you can only pour in the small end and causes spilling.

I love this coffeemaker. The coffee is very hot,just the way I like it. It takes 3 min.to get a pot of coffee.

A More Flavorful, Hotter Cup of Coffee

I'm like a lot of coffee drinkers; I'm always looking for a better cup of coffee and purchase quality whole beans, grind them fresh and try and use a quality coffee brewer. I spent about 2 days looking over the Bunn line and that this unit had commercial quality parts sold me. I had used a cheaper domestic Bunn Pourover for 5 years and it didn't brew or maintain at a hot enough temperature after awhile. This one does. And the real benefit of higher brewing temperatures is that afternoon iced coffee that I pour to boost me through the afternoon is much richer. This brewer has a much beefier plastic and aluminum parts gauge so the unit is solid. It looks real good on the kitchen counter and the decanter has a fool proof pouring spout that keeps the work space pretty much splash free. For the extra $100 price tag, you'll notice a big improvement in your coffee drinking.

Great coffee maker

We purchased this to replace our 10 year old Bunn Wave coffee maker. We had to replace our old one because of the hard water that is in our office, otherwise, I believe it would have lasted another 10 years. Our office typically goes through at least 2 airpots a day. The hot water dispenser was a must have for those who like their tea over coffee. Good quality brewer for the price and functions.

Brewer is good but...

This is a great brewer once you have adjusted the water amount. It is a guessing came and takes some time. Instructions on how to do it were inacurate which was a big deal! Also since i have had this particular brewer i have had to call a tec out 2 times during the 1st week after purchase to fix leaks! I guess i got a lemon!
