Scotsman MC0522SA-1 Description
Cooling with R-404A refrigerant, the Scotsman MC0522SA-1 Prodigy ELITE® ice maker can produce 475 pounds of ice per day in ideal ambient conditions. Its self-contained condenser simplifies installation, and its self-aligning front panel provides access to key components for maintenance. As this ice maker can be paired with Scotsman’s ICELINQ® mobile app, operators can conveniently access the machine dashboard, update settings as needed, and walk through step-by-step cleaning. Users are alerted of operational status updates with AutoAlert™ indicating lights, and overall, this unit measures 22 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 23 inches high.
Inhibiting the growth of mold, mildew, and bacteria, the Scotsman MC0522SA-1 ice machine head is treated with AgION™ antimicrobial protection. Scaly buildup is removed with WaterSense adjustable purge control, and because the unit features a stainless steel finish, it resists corrosion. This unit’s harvest assist feature guides ice through the head and into a compatible dispenser or bin that is purchased separately.
Note: This unit must be paired with an ice maker bin or ice dispenser.

Scotsman is by far the best... I have been using them years.
I have been using them years. They have by far the best support and website to show you have to clean and keep your ice maker happy. PS, Scotsman is the only units made in the USA anymore!
Great machine, terrible packaging
I received my third! ice machine after receiving two previous machines that were damaged in shipment. The first machine arrived with the packaging intact and undamaged but after unpacking it was evident that it had been dropped, smashed or mistreated in other ways. The case was all bent up and after removing the front, serious internal damage was also evident. The compressor mounts were broken, sheet metal was bent and plastic trim was broken. I'm still working on returning this one!! A second machine was shipped and again the packing was undamaged but upon close inspection, the sheet metal was seriously bent up so the shipment was refused. The third one arrived and the machine was sitting loosely on a different pallet and the packing was missing or demolished. The machine was in better shape than the previous two and I filed a damage claim but accepted it. The top is bent and a piece of plastic trim is cracked but it's connected and working properly. Scotsman needs to do a much better job of protecting their machines from shipping damage. My previous ice machine was a Manitowoc and it was very well packaged and arrived with no damage whatsoever. Katom has been very helpful and I would buy from them again, but after a month of trying to get a functioning ice machine, I'm not sure I would order another Scotsman!
