Hatco C-45 Description
Designed to be used with a warewasher, the Hatco C-45 compact booster heater raises rinse water's temperature to 180 degrees Fahrenheit; at this level, the water is hot enough to properly sanitize dishes. When water flows at 258 gallons per hour, the unit provides a 70-degree-Fahrenheit rise, but if water flows at 452 gallons per hour, it provides a 40-degree-Fahrenheit rise. Its tank has a 6-gallon storage capacity and a cement lining that protects it from corrosion and limescale buildup. Insulated with fiberglass, the unit will not lose heat quickly.
The booster heater offers user-friendly operation with an on/off switch and a pilot indicator light. Safety features are built into the unit to protect the components, along with a temperature and pressure relief valve and a pressure-reducing valve. If the water level is too low, the controls also include a low-water cut-off that prevents element burnout by shutting down the power. Plastic legs elevate this Hatco C-45 booster heater off the floor, and its compact design enables installation beside dishmachines without taking up a lot of space.
