If You Don't Recycle, Now You Can
Most individuals are aware of the phrase "reduce, reuse, recycle" and are willing to comply for the betterment of our environment.
According to Earth911.com, a resource designed for detailed recycling facts and information, "More than 1,600 businesses are involved in recycling post-consumer plastics, but the actual recycling rate remains steady at around 27 percent."
Although many areas exist where recycling pickup is commonplace, some communities are not large enough or don’t see a large enough demand to offer recycling pickup leaving consumers lost in a sea of landfill waste.
Create Your Own Recycling Center
Buy recycling bins and make your own recycling center with different bins for assorted materials. Invite your friends and neighbors to do the same, and show them your project.
Go to your local recycling center, and ask them what materials they accept to be recycled. Not all materials can or will be taken by the recycling center, as some materials cannot even be recycled or recycled with other products. Among this list includes Styrofoam, grocery bags, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts.
Buy only those products that can be recycled, and keep recycling.
