KaTom helps bring a rooftop bar and breakfast concept to Moxy Atlanta Downtown hotel.

KaTom Helps Outfit Moxy Atlanta Downtown's Concepts

A recent addition to the Atlanta, Ga., skyline, Moxy Atlanta Downtown is a 10-story hotel that opened in March 2026. Built by Emerge Hospitality Group, the hotel partnered with KaTom Restaurant Supply, Eggslut, and The Restaurant People to outfit multiple food and beverage concepts, including a rooftop bar, speakeasy-style lounge, and popular ground-floor breakfast concept.

Lobby bar and Eggslut concept

An innovative brand by Marriott International, Moxy Hotels started in 2014 and is known for trendy, cost-conscious social spaces designed to attract younger customers. It focuses on open room designs, large communal areas, and unique dining concepts.

"We want this hotel to be the living room for our community," Sachin Patel, President and CEO of Emerge Hospitality Group told KaTom. "A place to come relax, eat, and drink."

A pink backlit sign with the Moxy logo welcomes visitors into a themed lobby where guests check in at the bar. Rooms feature industrial, playful designs, while meeting areas offer open, comfortable setups, encouraging guests to gather and relax.

Moxy Atlanta Downtown's dining concepts fit the hotel's informal feel. On the ground floor, Eggslut, a popular Los Angeles-based breakfast concept, features quick service, an open kitchen, and a street-facing window that serves foot traffic.

Eggslut's Atlanta restaurant joins other locations scattered across Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and multiple international cities. The concept pairs casual dining with elevated dishes centered around the brand's soft-scrambled and over medium eggs.

"Naturally, we looked at many brands, but Eggslut was the clear choice since their culture and concept fit the Moxy brand so well," Patel said.

On the tenth floor, guests can visit Jagger Suite, a rooftop bar and restaurant named after an iconic pop culture moment when Bianca Jagger rode a white horse in New York City's Studio 54 nightclub. The restaurant aims to match this audacious energy with a club-style atmosphere, live DJ performances, and a 12-foot-tall rotating disco unicorn. It also features an outdoor patio with views of Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the College Football Hall of Fame.

Nearby, the Powder Room Speakeasy offers a private setting with Space Age decor and reservation-required access.

Each restaurant adds a unique flair to Moxy Atlanta Downtown's energetic atmosphere, influenced by delicious food, music, sports, and celebration that reflects Atlanta's distinct culture.

KaTom Equips the Kitchens

Because of the variation in the different restaurants located in the Moxy, it added a layer of challenges to the equipment process.

"This drastically drove equipment needs," Patel said. "Different menu items require different equipment and that must also make operations efficient from a timing standpoint."

KaTom Strategic Account Representative Mike Knoebel worked closely with Patel to equip each kitchen. When selecting equipment, Knoebel and Patel were able to find a mix of premium and value-driven options to create a customized solution for each concept.

"If operators are looking for some value brand, being able to have the flexibility to offer different brands on certain pieces of equipment, I think that sets us apart," Knoebel said.

Eggslut cook and expo

Led by Installation Team Lead George McCombs, KaTom's install team delivered and set up each piece of equipment. Because Eggslut features an open kitchen, the team completed detailed equipment setups, including installing pass-through heat lamps and other components to meet exact height specifications for access and visibility.

The Jagger Suite and Powder Room kitchens offered more straightforward layouts but required transporting heavy equipment up 10 stories.

"It was a process to get it installed," Knoebel said. "It's downtown Atlanta—busy streets. We had to park in a side alley, get equipment across gravel, up a ramp, and then into an elevator."

From there, the install team navigated around other trades and construction workers, setting up each piece of equipment at its final destination to support these individual concepts.

"With a project this complex it's important to make sure we have the right teams onboard very early," Patel said. "[KaTom] brought vast knowledge, including alternate equipment specs and operational expertise."
