The True TS-23-1-G-1 reach-in refrigerator has one solid half door on the bottom and one glass half door on the top. This glass door is made with double-pane, thermal glass to keep light outside of the refrigerator from negatively impacting the temperature inside the unit, and it provides product visibility without opening the door. Both doors self-close and include standard door locks to prevent unauthorized access. Cold air is retained with magnetic gaskets around the frames.

The temperature of the unit is maintained at a set level between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit by R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, and temperature recovery is quick since the evaporator fan motor and large fan blades create high-volume airflow. LED interior lighting brightens the cabinet interior to enhance visibility, while PVC-coated, wire shelves adjust to accommodate various product sizes. This True TS-23-1-G-1 refrigerator has a bottom-mounted condensing unit, offering convenient maintenance access.

To help maintain a clean condensing coil surface, the unit's compressor uses a reverse fan motor mechanism that blows buildup of debris, dirt, and dust off of the coil's surface. By removing unwanted buildup, the coil can work more efficiently, reducing energy usage and improving foods' temperatures. This mechanism works best when preventative maintenance is also applied.
