True Refrigeration T-49F-HC Description
The True T-49F-HC two-section freezer has stainless steel doors with magnetic gaskets around the frames to reduce cold air leaks. Both doors close by themselves to prevent cold air loss, and each has a 12-inch recessed handle. Withstanding heavy use, the front of the unit is stainless steel with anodized aluminum ends. Its aluminum interior line is coated for protection, and the interior has a stainless steel floor with covered corners to ease cleaning. Inside the cabinet, LED lighting shines on product for full visibility.
With condenser and evaporator fan motors that create high volume airflow, the True T-49F-HC reach-in freezer provides a consistently cold environment for ice cream and other frozen foods. The bottom-mounted refrigeration system maintains and quickly recovers a temperature of -10 degrees Fahrenheit. This freezer has an automatic defrost system that is time initiated and temperature terminated to prevent issues caused by ice buildup.
Every time the condenser fan motor turns on, it runs in reverse for 20 seconds to remove dirt and dust from the condensing coil. Regularly cleaning this coil is imperative to system function, ensuring system function is reliable and efficient. This self-cleaning feature also reduces energy consumption and helps to maintain the most consistent and coldest cabinet temperatures. This reversing feature prolongs the unit's lifespan when it's used in tandem with routine preventative system maintenance.

I would buy this product again.
I purchased this unit for my home because 2 of my upright freezers went out within 3 weeks of each other. Had to buy more shelves which came very quickly. I wish it came with a hard copy of the manual. The only bad thing about the unit is that it is loud when it is running. It is in the laundry room in the basement next to the family room. When it kicks on you need to turn the TV up a little bit, but other than that it is GREAT.

Bought this freezer for my house put a 550 beef in it and have room to spare. Lovin it..
Quality product that should last a long time
The freezer is a storage freezer for large boxes of food. Holds temperature nicely. The only issue is during loading, the self closing doors have no way to prop open (which usually is a benefit). If a door closes, there is a delay between when it closes and can be reopened due to the vacuum caused by the cold air. At least it proves the box is well sealed! Bottom mounted compressor raises the floor of the box which makes loading easier. Measuring duty cycle and my electric costs, it should cost about $50 a month for electricity based on a $.016 average cost per KWH in my area. This is in a storage room, not a kitchen. Delivery was fine with final delivery by a lift gate truck. Absolutely no damage and packed very well. Made in America is a plus for me and would (did) pay the higher price for a USA manufactured product

I love this freezer, plenty of room, and helped organize all my meat I had in a old chest freezer.Placed under my enclosed garage for residential use, love all the room on the shelves and the outside thermometer!Ordered on Friday evening about 7:00 P.M.and was delivered Wednesday, No dings, or dents on new fridge, Great service from Katom!!

300 lbs of Angus beef in my new True freezer.
It arrived 2 weeks ago via ABF Cargo. Not a scratch on it and the driver helped me unpack and inspect it. My neighbor sold me 1/2 a beef and I had it butchered and sealed in vacuum bags. Freezer is set at -10F and during any power outage is backed up with my diesel generator. Should last me a full year!

Full size sheet tray won't fit!
Just received the freezer and plugged it in and went to load in my sheet trays and they don't fit. It is a couple of inches too shallow. This means that I can't buy racks that will fit either. The interior dimensions are listed but I didn't check it cause all my other freezers and refrigerators fit a full size sheet tray. I'd return this if there was a way to do so. This is really a big mistake in my opinion.
