With controls that are sold separately, the Salvajor 200 disposer offers dual-mode grinding that enables the shredder to operate in either direction, extending the life of its cutting teeth. The 2-horsepower motor is water cooled, so it cools more efficiently than fan-cooled units. In case the temperature rises too high, the unit is equipped with thermal overload protection. For water protection, an enclosure around the motor and an extended seal protect sensitive components. As the motor runs, tapered roller bearings absorb shock to reduce stress on the system, and the rubber mounting adapter prevents the unit from loudly clanging against the sink.
