Its top, rear, sides, bottom, and doors withstand high temperatures because they're insulated with a material that resists sagging over time. The oven's 29-inch-wide by 22¹⁄₈-inch-deep by 20-inch-high frame supports its five 28¹⁄₄-inch-wide by 20¹⁄₂-inch nickel-plated oven racks. To maintain stability throughout operation, it's supported on 23³⁄₄-inch painted legs.

Users can streamline operations with the computer controls on the Vulcan VC4EC single-deck electric convection oven. It shows the time and temperature digitally, features a 99-hour timer, and enables as many as 100 programmable menu selections, so specific menu items can be cooked at the press of a button. Heated by electric, solid-sheath elements, air from the two-speed oven blower-motor is moved uniformly around product to prevent heat loss. Users can access product directly with the two stainless steel doors, which open independent of one another. They also have double-pane windows that enable users to check cooking progress. Overall, this unit measures 40 inches wide by 42¹/₄ inches deep by 52³/₄ inches high to fit numerous kitchen areas.
