The Cambro CPU244884S5PKG starter shelving unit is part of the Camshelving® Premium collection, which is stronger than the Camshelving Elements and Basics Plus shelving systems. Though each shelf can hold 800 pounds, this 48-inch-wide by 24-inch-deep by 84-inch-high structure can be loaded with no more than 2,000 pounds of bagged and boxed ingredients and small pieces of equipment. All five tiers feature solid shelf plates that support leaky items, linens, and small or irregularly shaped goods. When products are introduced as inventory changes, operators can adjust the supportive traverses to raise or lower the shelves along the unit's steel and polypropylene posts to create space for different product sizes. For lasting use, the shelves' polypropylene construction resists corrosion, rust, and damage from humidity, food acids, salty air, and harsh chemicals. They're also treated with Camguard® antimicrobial protection, which shields stored goods from stains or odors by inhibiting bacterial growth between cleanings.

To expand storage opportunities, the Cambro CPU244884S5PKG starter shelving unit can be used in temperatures from -36 to 190 degrees, supporting use in dishrooms, pantries, loading docks, and walk-in coolers or freezers. Like the shelves, the steel traverses and posts are coated with corrosion-resistant polypropylene to withstand use in humid spaces, such as kitchens and dishrooms. For field assembly, this shelving system includes 10 traverses, dovetails, and two unassembled post kits. Though operators must set up the posts, the dovetails are molded into them, which removes a tedious step in the installation of Elements and Basics Plus shelving systems.
