Hobart N50 5-Quart Mixer

Hobart has been serving the foodservice industry for more than a hundred years, building a longstanding reputation for dependability. The company produces cooking, commercial dishwashing, and food prep products. Hobart mixers are well-known for their dependability, with the longest-running known Hobart mixer still going after 93 years. These units range in size from as small as 5 quarts to as large as 140 quarts to fit the needs of every type of foodservice operation.
Motor
All Hobart mixer motors are made to withstand heavy-duty usage, and the 5-quart mixer is no exception. The 1/6 HP motor uses a gear-driven transmission, which is long-lasting and dependable, even when dealing with heavy loads and dense ingredients.
The Hobart N50 mixer has three fixed speeds, giving you flexibility in mixing and consistent results that provide your customers with the best product possible. The motor is ventilated to prevent overheating and enclosed in a drip-proof casing to prevent incursion of food products that could damage it.
Controls
The controls for the Hobart N50 mixer are simple, with an ON/OFF toggle switch and a gear shift lever for changing speeds. The 115 V/60 Hz/1-ph models also include a circuit breaker switch to allow you to reset the circuit in the event that the mixer is overloaded. The bowl lift is manual, and locks firmly in place to prevent messes.
This model's low speed rotates the beaters at 136 RPM, making it best suited for thick, dense food products such as heavy doughs and mashed vegetables. Medium speed works at 281 RPM, and is ideal for light doughs and batters. The fastest setting is best for thin food products such as whipping cream, eggs, and very thin batters, and rotates at a speed of 580 RPM. The mixer must always be turned off before shifting speeds to avoid damaging the gearbox.
Options
The Hobart N50 mixer has several options and accessories available to allow you to customize your mixer to work best for your foodservice operation. This model includes beater, whip, and hook attachments, while the Hobart N50A includes a stainless steel beater. Both include a 5-quart stainless steel mixing bowl.
For the N50A, if you need more mixing attachments than the one stainless steel beater, flat beaters, dough hooks, and wire whips are available.
