The Koolaire KYT-0700A ice maker is an air-cooled unit that produces a maximum of 740 pounds of ice in 24 hours under perfect operating conditions. The ice is formed in ³/₈-inch by 1¹⁄₈-inch by ⁷/₈-inch half-size cubes harvested as the nickel-plated copper evaporator is warmed. For efficient cooling, the system uses R410A refrigerant. To ease operation, the unit features a simple on/off switch that can also activate a cleaning cycle.

For a streamlined appearance in bars and kitchens, the Koolaire KYT-0700A ice machine head sports a stainless- like exterior that's smudge and fingerprint resistant. Its interior is made of white plastic that's simple to wipe down as needed, and to minimize ice melting, the door is sealed with rubber gaskets. To further ease cleaning, the distribution tube, floats, pump, trough, water shield, and food zone components are removable; additionally, key parts are imbued with Alpha San antimicrobial to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi between regular cleanings. Overall, this unit measures 30 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 21¹⁄₂ inches high and is designed to be paired with the Koolaire K570 ice bin or an ice dispenser, which are sold separately.
