In a day, the Manitowoc Ice IDT1200A/D970/K00470 ice maker, bin, and adaptor can produce 1,196 pounds of dice ice and save 882 pounds for later. Ice forms as water freezes onto the evaporator grid, creating 7⁄8-inch by 7⁄8-inch by 7⁄8-inch cubes. Before they are ejected into the bin, a sensor probe checks their size to ensure consistency. The bin lid is insulated to keep cubes frozen, and to prevent contamination, a holder keeps the scoop out of the ice.
This Manitowoc Ice IDT1200A/D970/K00470 ice machine, adaptor, and bin is programmable using the easyTouch™ controls on the front, and both the amount it produces each day and the hours it runs can be adjusted as needed. The system continuously runs diagnostics, and if cleaning is needed, it will alert the operator. Its food zone components can be accessed through the hinged front panel. Several of the components are protected against bacteria, while others are removable, enabling operators to clean around them without straining.
