Ice production in the Manitowoc Ice IDT-1200W/D-970 Indigo NXT™ ice maker with bin is programmable with a 1,078-pound daily capacity. It makes 0.875-inch-by-0.875-inch-by-0.875-inch full-cube ice that is perfect for drinks since it melts slowly; however, due to its large size, this ice type will not cool liquids as quickly as small ice types. Before ice drops into the bin, it is measured by an acoustical probe to ensure it has consistent thickness. Operators can check the operating status and get alerts on the touchscreen display. The unit runs preventive maintenance daily, and the components are accessible behind the swing-out food zone door.
This Manitowoc Ice IDT-1200W/D-970 ice machine with bin has an 882-pound storage capacity and comes with a 5.3-pound-capacity ice scoop. Guards are built into the scoop to prevent users' hands from touching the ice and contaminating it. Made of polyurethane, the bin liner is durable and corrosion resistant. Insulation keeps cold air inside the bin to prevent ice from quickly melting, and the door stays open when the operator is scooping.
