The Manitowoc AR-20000 Arctic Pure® primary water filter assembly has 1-micron particle reduction. The cartridge has a capacity of 20,000 gallons of water, which should enable it to last about 6 months in most uses. A 40-gram scale inhibitor reduces the amount of scale buildup in the ice machine, which can help prolong the life of that critical piece of equipment. This filter is made for ice machines that produce between 601 and 1,000 pounds of ice every 24 hours. Automatic shut-off and pressure relief valves help protect both the assembly and the ice machine from damage caused by changes in supply pressure. The quick-change-housing design of the Manitowoc AR-20000 Arctic Pure primary water filter assembly makes changing the cartridge easier and faster, and minimizes contamination during change out. In areas that have low water quality where large particles of sediment are present, the Manitowoc AR-PRE pre-filter should be installed upstream on the water supply to prolong the service lives of both the primary filter and ice machine.
