Southbend S60DD-2RR Description
The Southbend S60DD-2RR S-Series range is built with six burners, a raised griddle and broiler, and two standard ovens to save space while enabling a variety of foods to be prepared. This 603⁄4-inch-wide by 34-inch-deep by 591⁄2-inch-high unit features a stainless steel front, sides, removable shelf, and front rail for lasting resistance to wear, rust, and corrosion. For safety, it's fitted with 6-inch stainless steel legs that can be raised or lowered to level the unit on uneven surfaces. This LP-gas-powered range comes with a factory-installed pressure regulator so users can monitor incoming pressure.
The 603⁄4-inch-wide top section of this range is divided into two cooking areas. The left side includes six non-clogging burners with removable, cast iron grate tops and front-mounted metal knobs with red stripes. A one-piece crumb drawer beneath the burners catches grease and debris, and for quick cleaning, this piece is removable. For safety, a 4-inch shelf separates the operator from the burners, and on the right side, the 24-inch raised griddle features a smooth, polished 1⁄2-inch-thick griddle plate and front-mounted control knobs. For added convenience, the broiler built beneath the griddle includes a pull-out rack.
Both of the Southbend S60DD-2RR commercial range's standard ovens have 26-inch-wide by 261⁄2-inch deep enameled cavities and one removable rack with two-position rack guides. Staff can adjust temperatures from 175 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit with the snap-action thermostats, while the U-shaped, heavy-duty oven burners evenly distribute heat to prevent cold spots that could affect food quality. The ovens' sides and top are insulated with heavy, self-supporting block-type rock wool to preserve generated heat for energy conservation. For streamlined operation, they're equipped with flame failure safety mechanisms.
