Each tier of the Cambro CBU246084V4580 Camshelving® Basics Plus starter shelving unit has a vented, corrosion-resistant polypropylene shelf plate. This louvered design lets air pass through the gapped surfaces and circulate around product, which is essential for proper perishable good storage. Free-flowing air also can minimize moisture and dust buildup. To protect stored contents from harmful contaminants, Camguard® antimicrobial agent is molded into the shelves, inhibiting fungal and bacterial spread. As much as 400 pounds can be stored on the top shelf, while each lower shelf accommodates 600 pounds. To prevent structural damage, this unit should only be loaded with 1,800 pounds total.
