Star 848TA Description
The Star 848TA Ultra-Max® griddle measures 48 inches wide and is split into 12-inch sections that are individually controlled. These sections have sensors embedded in the cook plate that measure and adjust the temperature to match the setting on the snap-action thermostats. Ranging from 150 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit, temperatures can be regulated and set to suit different applications.
Made of polished steel, its cooking plate resists warping after repeated use while its 1-inch thickness consistently retains and distributes heat better than thinner plates. Integrated splash guards in the Star 848TA griddle keep most splatter and crumbs contained, and operators can push grease into the 31/2-inch by 1-inch trough so it can collect in a drawer for convenient cleaning. The unit is elevated off countertops with 4-inch legs, and users can adjust them to maintain stability on uneven surfaces.
