Star 848TA Description
The Star 848TA Ultra-Max® griddle is split into 12-inch sections, each controlled by a burner and snap-action thermostat. Ranging from 150 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit, temperatures can be adjusted to cook a variety of foods while its polished steel plate measures 1 inch thick and will not warp after repeated heating and cooling. This thickness means the plate evenly distributes and retains heat.
Integrated splash guards on the Star 848TA griddle contain most splatter and crumbs to the plate, simplifying cleanup on the counters around it. Users can move grease from the plate into the grease trough, so it can be stored in the drawer until cleaning. Legs elevate the griddle off the countertop to prevent overheating, and operators can adjust them to maintain stability on uneven surfaces.
