To ensure precooked foods are rethermalized and held in serving temperatures in bain maries or rethermalizers, this Hatco FR-9B food rethermalizer heater supplies hot water to a unit's holding tank. This 9-inch-wide by 17¹/₈-inch-deep by 12¹/₄-inch-high unit can be mounted to a vessel with the included standard 2-inch plumbing fittings. This unit accommodates a bain marie no longer than 6 feet. For proper setup, it should be installed with a perforated water baffle—sold separately—and incoming water consisting of more than 3 grains of hardness per gallon (GPG) must be treated and softened before use with this heater. Built to endure high-volume use, its stainless steel front resists rust and corrosion, while the sides feature a durable silver-gray hammertone finish. Its separate heating and sump compartments simplify sanitizing and cleaning since the sump can be plumbed to an open-sight waste drain.

To accommodate a wide range of reheating and holding requirements, the Hatco FR-9B rethermalizer heater's heating element is adjustable between 140 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit via the water temperature control. The element's permanently submerged design optimizes heat transfer, while consistent water circulation improves uniformity and eliminates cold spots. Once water is preheated, an indicator light glows to alert operators. If temperatures exceed the set temperature range, its energy cutoff system powers down the unit for user and product safety.
