The Best Way to Cool off from the Summer Heat? Margaritas!
If you're like me, then you're probably feeling pretty miserable right now because of this exhausting heat. I absolutely cannot stand it. I have no pool in my backyard, so no cooling off for me. I've been tempted to sneak into my neighbors' pool in the middle of the night, while they're sleeping...but I won't. So, the only thing I've found that can take my mind off this heat, is a nice margarita. Mmm...sounds nice doesn't it? I've come across a couple of margarita recipes that are sure to cool you off, and please your taste buds! I have personally made these recipes, and they really are wonderful. They're great for summer parties with friends and family, cookouts, or just to make because they sound good.
*This first margarita recipe is a different take on margaritas. But don't worry, it's delicious!*
Beer Margarita
Ingredients:
- 12 ounces of beer
- 12 ounces of limeade
- 12 ounces of tequila
- 12 ounces of water
- A lime cut into two wedges
Directions:
The liquids used for making the beer margarita must be in the liquid form. Crushed ice may be used in the end while serving. Get a pitcher. Mix the concentrated limeade pulp, beer, tequila and water in the pitcher. Stir so that the mixture blends well with the remaining ingredients and forms a homogeneous solution. Wait until the limeade melts. Some like their beer margarita to be a little strong. For this, reduce the amount of water. If you prefer a more liquid drink, add water accordingly. Serve fresh and chilled with crushed ice. Insert the lemon wedges on the rims of the margarita glasses for garnishing.
*I was a bit tentative about trying the beer margarita, because I generally like fruity drinks, but this beer margarita is officially my favorite. Love, love, love it!*
Ginger Peach Margarita
Ingredients:
- Grenadine syrup
- Sweet and Sour Mix
- Peach schnapps
- Tequila
- Ice cubes
Directions:
Put the ice cubes in a margarita glass and top it up with the tequila, an ounce of peach schnapps and then the sweet and sour. Finally add the grenadine and serve after stirring lightly.
Hope you enjoy these drinks! I promise, they are wonderful! Let us know what you think. We'd love to hear from you! Leave a comment, question, or suggestion in our comment box. Drink Responsibly!
