this is the worst thing i have ever seen

it will cost you over $528.00 to return this piece o junk. weighs about 30 lbs. I will take legal just to save the rest of the good people.

Great but some issues

The unit looks great, stainless all around so if it was visible from more than the front, you're covered. The protective plastic wrap surrounds everything and takes time to get off. It's wedged into joints and where panels overlap, including the front handle. But the finish is nice. We had an old unit with gravity drain near the floor, but note that on this unit the drain outlet is very close to the floor, only maybe 4 inches. This makes installation under a countertop a little more tricky and precise, but not bad. The ice is great, production is great. My main issue is that after about a month the unit did not stop making ice one day - the auto shutoff (ultrasonic sensor) did not sense the ice level. When we checked it in the morning, the unit was making noise and ice had pushed out the top, moving the top cover panel. Since then, we've been shutting it off at night until we can figure this issue out. Not sure if it is a sensor or something else interfering with it.

Worked out great. Would do it again!

The unit was very easy to set up and worked great from turning on of the switch and has produced lots of ice ever since.

Excellent product!

Enjoyed working with KaTom! They went out of their way to make our shopping experience excellent! The Ice O Matic is every thing we expected. We are using it in an at home setting, where it gets very warm in the summer. It will be interesting to see if it can keep up with the demands. I'm sure it will! Nice size for home, the tub is a one piece construction of hard plastic, with a great sliding lid, components I'm sure will last a long time. Great value for the price!

OK, but difficult to adjust

It's too difficult to adjust the thickness of the ice cubes, the adjustments are a silly little dip switch, and easy access is blocked by coolant tubes. Plus, we simply can't set the proper thickness, and customer service says we'll probably be charged for a service call. Plus Ice-o-matic is really made by Scotsman, which we had before with lots of problems.

LOVE it!

So far this thing is awesome! If you can rationalize the expense (ours is just for home use), this is a great machine. Sonic type ice. Makes ice very quickly and exterior is nice.

great machine. had probmlems early on with the machine being very loud like the other guy. However this is not normal and they came out the next day and fixed it. The machine is very quite and I have it in a pre school. would highly recomend.

Ice Nice!

This is an excellent product that because of the noise factor when it is making ice, would really work best in an outside patio. It does make great sized cubes very efficiently and fast. It just sounds like an airplane taking off during the actually ice making process itself.

Great little machine!

We have really enjoyed owning this ice machine. We built an outdoor kitchen area and this ice maker has come in so handy, no more trips to the market to fill ice chests, it's great!
