Who Approved this Design?

I am pretty sure no one at Edlund put this design through a test phase before releasing it into production. All of our kitchen can openers were recently replaced with this model and ALL of the columns wobble to the degree that liquids originally inside the can splash out onto the counter and floor. It's such a mess a mop is needed. I am just the guy opening 15-20 large cans several times per week but if I ordered them they would be rejected and returned to the distributor. What is Edlund thinking?

This replacement should have been done years ago.

Replaced the Kit on the can opener and its just like brand new. The ladies in church love it. It was a easy task. Thank you

A great addition to our church kitchen. It zooms through those big cans that we use at dinners and the bazaar. Couldn't be easier to use!

I would buy this product again

I bought a pair a few years ago from a different company and liked the quality. When I went back to get more all they had were foreign made products. A big plus for Edlund is they are made in the USA. I try to buy American made products when ever possible.

These are the tongs pros use. No pinch point at the hinge. No lock - locks are stupid. And there from a Vermont company - what could be better.

Reliable and there to stay

The can opener is used in our church kitchen to open all size cans. We were using hand held manual openers but would slip their grip or disappear. The Edlund is reliable and stays put since it is screwed to the counter top. The opener is not difficult to use it does require effort. We see it as a permanent fixture for years to come in our church kitchen.

Great set of tongs

Great set of all purpose tongs. Adept on the grill or turning items in a skillet. Ends meet well allowing for good grip on food items. Well sized. Nice spring action. Easy to close.

Perfect way to store knifes

Nothing is worse that putting your knifes in a drawer and letting them hit together. They'll lose their edge rapidly. So this rack is the perfect solution to store yours knifes.I've installed this in a vertical drawer. It's looking very good and professionnal. My knifes are protected and will stay sharp. I've put a bunch of knives in the rack and there is still place. The insert is made of hard plastic and is dishwasher safe. Overall product is really good quality and will last forever.

Scale performs well, however...There is a slight time delay between weighing products, and the reading of the display, probably due to the wireless feature. Unfortunately, this doesn't work for the fast/exacting weighing that I intended it for (cheesing pizza in a fast, high volume environment). If you don't need an instant readout, it's a nice scale, and thus far, reliable with a nice heavy tare switch. I use it for back up and secondary scale due to the lag time. I've ordered another similar scale to this without the wireless feature. Hopefully the lag time from weighing to readout will disappear.

Why waste time on using a can opener? Use the king can punch for opening large cans quickly. Pop once or twice and you have the whole can emptied. Every kitchen needs one. Its all about the tools! Well, actually its all about the eating!

Best Tongs I have ever used

Heavy duty tongs that does not slide back and forth. Strong enough to pick up plates. Locking device allows for space savings.
