Hobart N50 Mixer

Hobart N50 Mixer

The right Hobart mixer for: Low-volume or space-constrained commercial kitchens, or for busier operations that need a supplemental mixer.

The Hobart N50 Mixer is the company's smallest available commercial mixer. With a 5-quart capacity bowl, it can handle roughly three pounds of mashed potatoes, two pounds of icing or fondant, or four pounds of bread dough. This Hobart stand mixer packs a lot of power and durability into a countertop frame, thanks to a 16-HP fixed-speed motor that relies on a gear-driven transmission to provide consistency and minimum downtime.

The N50 mixer has three speeds - low, intermediate, and high - that are controlled by a simple lever located next to the power switch, which is intentionally oversized for ease of operation. Another convenient lever allows the user to raise and lower the bowl, ensuring the right mix all the way down to the bottom. This stand mixer also has a No. 10 taper attachment hub on the front for attaching compatible mixer accessories, which are sold separately.

Standard accessories: 5-quart stainless steel bowl, "B" flat beater, "D" wire whip, "ED" dough hook, and a cord with plug.

Hobart Spiral Mixer

Hobart Spiral Mixer

The right Hobart mixer for: Commercial kitchens that need to prepare high-volume quantities of dough.

Available in 180-, 220-, 300-, and 350-pound capacities, Hobart spiral mixers are engineered specifically to meet the needs of high-volume bakeries, pizzerias, and commissaries. They are designed with a spinning dough hook and rotating bowl that prevent air from getting into the mixture, which provides better dough. Two agitator speeds and dual 20-minute timers, which allows operators to set the mixer for automatic shifting between speeds, provide further precision and consistency.

The spiral mixer's bowl drive, which rides on ball bearings for durability and support, is reversible, which makes it easy to fully incorporate new ingredients or mix small batches. For operator safety, the bowl is accompanied by a wireform bowl guard with an interlock that must be down before the spiral arm will operate. Each mixer is also mounted on rear and front casters that allow it to be easily moved for cleaning or maintenance needs.

To provide reliable performance, each of these dough mixers is equipped with a heavy-duty motor. Depending on the model chosen, the spiral arm motor achieves between 245 and 5 HP for the first speed and between 5110 and 8 HP for the second speed. The bowl motor reaches to between 12 and 1 HP.
