Adding a Vulcan Oven to Your Commercial Kitchen
Vulcan has manufactured high-quality cooking equipment for more than 150 years for commercial and industrial environments, including restaurants and K-12 schools. Vulcan ovens deliver consistent results and are versatile for kitchens with diverse menu options. Vulcan offers seven oven series – ABC, ECO, Mini-Jet, VC4, VC5, VC6, and SG models – that all have straightforward controls and Grab-and-Go oven racks for easy use and pan retrieval. Certain Vulcan ovens in the VC4, VC5, VC6, SG, and ECO series are ENERGY STAR® certified.
Choosing a Vulcan Oven
Vulcan ABC Series
The Vulcan ABC series ovens feature three knobs – temperature, time, and humidity controls – that are lit by large LED displays. The patent-pending humidity level control automatically adjusts the unit after operators set the temperature. It has a visual recall display of the actual oven temperature, and the timer reloads for batch cooking after the completion of timed cycles. A flashing door light and audible alarm let operators know when a timed cycle is completed.
- Temperature range: 80 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit
- Timer range: Continuous up to 23 hours and 59 minutes
- Humidity range: 0 to 100 percent
Capable of baking, steaming, roasting, and more, this series features a boilerless combi-oven that uses direct steam creation to improve cooking capabilities with minimal energy and water. The Vulcan ABC series contains an auto-reversing fan with an electronic braking system on the fan motor and a halogen door light behind the heat-reflective tempered glass doors. For versatility, the Vulcan ABC series can be powered by gas or electricity and has full stainless steel cavities, doors, tops, and sides for durability.

Vulcan Mini-Jet Series
The Vulcan Mini-Jet is an electric, boilerless combi-oven steamer that's capable of a variety of cooking methods such as:
- Baking, roasting, and finishing,
- Steaming, poaching, and stewing,
- Low temp, defrosting, and rethermalization,
- Grilling,
- Air frying,
- Cook and hold,
- Proofing, and more!
The Mini-Jet is available with right- or left-handed door configurations and features twin controls with an LCD touchscreen. This interface boasts more than 80 preloaded and programmable recipes with text or picture display, and there is a toolbox option on the touchscreen that enables operators to customize settings, run diagnostics, and receive instructions with video training directly from the screen. It has an auto-reversing fan with a speed control adjustment on the control screen.

Vulcan ECO Series
The Vulcan ECO oven has stainless steel components: front, sides, gaskets, rear enclosure panel, and door with a double-pane window. Its features include:
- can adjust from 200 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit
- 60-minute electric timer with buzzer
- cool-down switch for rapid cool down
Durable and easy to clean, the Vulcan ECO series has porcelain enamel on the steel oven interior and nickel-plated racks; this half-size convection oven requires 208- and 240-volt power supply. This oven has cool to the touch handles and a double pane window.
Understanding Vulcan Convection Series Options
Vulcan offers four full-size convection oven series: VC4, VC5, VC6, and SG. These full-size convection ovens can be powered by gas or electric and have single or double decks. All Vulcan convection ovens sport porcelain-coated enamel steel oven cavities, which are nonstick and easy to clean.
While Vulcan VC4, VC5, VC6, and SG models have similar features, VC5 ovens have removable doors, and VC6 units are deeper so full-size pans fit both vertically and horizontally.
