Astra SM-222-1 Description
Ideal for hotels and lobbies, the Astra SM222-1 self-serve espresso machine dispenses a shot of espresso with the push of a button. Its Intelliprogram™ provides 18 programmable functions, such as dosing, pre-infusion, and troubleshooting. Customers can choose from as many as 14 drinks with the user-friendly touch pad. This unit grinds, self-tamps, and extracts a flavorful shot of espresso from the coffee beans stored in the two top-mounted hoppers, and it cleans and rinses its components automatically 15 minutes after a drink is made to ensure it's sanitary for future use.
To accommodate consecutive use, the Astra SM222-1 espresso machine's boiler holds 4.2 liters of water, reducing the need for constant refilling. A vacuum valve prevents milk from entering the boiler, which can help prevent cross contamination and keep the boiler clean. To ensure milk is stored at safe temperatures, the brewing mechanism maintains milk temperature at 36 degrees Fahrenheit from the refrigerator to the frothing system. This unit can produce 120 cups of espresso per hour, and it measures 22 inches wide by 23 inches deep by 38 inches high for countertop installation.
