MoTak MSD-1DF-BAL-X Description
The MoTak MSD-1DF-BAL-X reach-in freezer holds product on three PVC-coated wire shelves in its corrosion-resistant aluminum interior. The front and sides are made of stainless steel, while the back is made of aluminum. The door has a full-height, bent-metal handle and stays open past 90 degrees. At less than 90 degrees, the door closes by itself to keep cold air inside the cabinet.
Operating at temperatures from -10 to 0 degrees Fahrenheit, the MoTak MSD-1DF-BAL-X one-section freezer uses R290 refrigerant. It has a solid-state thermostat control that is easy to program and performs self-diagnostics. The refrigeration system is designed to operate quietly, so it is ideal for areas close to customers. The condenser is bottom mounted and is accessible for cleaning and service through a removable panel on the rear of the unit.

Love the freezer
Absolutely love the product. Only disappointment is the delivery date promised was not close to the actual delivery date.
Great purchase...great price!
We use this freezer as part of our ice cream cake operation. It helps the decorator with quick access to her masterpieces. The one thing I wish it had was either legs or locks on all 4 wheels not just 2 of them. It does move a bit if you tug on the door handle.
It works
There are several points to make here. 1. I bought this unit 20 months ago in June, 2020. It was the only new freezer I could find and afford. Due to supply issues, this was the second choice since the first one I paid for was out of stock. That is it's own story. 2. It was stuck in shipping for about a week when nobody could tell me where it was. It was delivered damaged with obvious damage to the box. The driver refused to let my wife file a complaint and he just drove off. There are several dents in my new freezer and the door does not seal well. 3. KaTom refunded about 10% of the cost on the condition that I dropped all other claims and allowed the warranty to be voided. 4. The freezer has been working well since then. You can heal the seal leaking as it sucks down whenever you close the door. It is being used in a residential setting, in the garage. My advice is to get more shelves and some baskets for the small stuff.
Will not stay cold enough
I purchased this for my restaurant. I will not get cold enough even on the coldest setting with the freezer half full. DO NO BUY

First freezer of the kind you Cannot fit a full size pan in this Freezer. Specs do not match reality. There is a drain line enclosure snack in the middle of the center that takes the ability to fit a full sheet pan. Noisy compressor.
Not cold
I just bought this freezer for my restaurant and I can not get the temperature to get below 7 degrees and when I have to open the door for dinner service the temperature goes to 28 degrees and my product gets soft not a good freezer! I hope this company stands behind their product
Very loud
I bought for residential use. It's very loud, runs all day, take a long time for the temperature to be lowered. It waa set at -7 and all my ice cream was melted.
