The Koolaire KYT1700W/K970 ice machine with bin can produce 1,815 pounds of ice when water flow is 50 degrees Fahrenheit and surrounding air is 70 degrees Fahrenheit. It has a water-cooled condenser that is chilled by a constant stream of cool water around the condenser coil. Because it regularly touches ice and water, the food zone can be accessed for cleaning by removing two screws and a lift-off door. Its white plastic surfaces show which areas need to be cleaned.

The Koolaire KYT1700W/K970 ice machine with bin has an exterior that looks like stainless steel and resists smudges and corrosion. To protect the bin from water damage, it is made of polyethylene. It can accommodate 882 pounds of half-cube ice and comes with an internal scoop holder and ice scoop. Insulated with foam to keep in cold air, the door remains open when it is propped up for comfortable scooping.
