Koolaire KYT1700A/K970 Description
The Koolaire KYT1700A/K970 ice maker with bin has an exterior finish that looks like stainless steel and is resistant to smudges and fingerprints. Constructed of polyethylene, the bin's interior is resistant to water and can accommodate 882 pounds of ice. The bin's door stays open when it's flipped up, giving the user more room to access the ice. Insulation foam in the lid helps lock in cold air, and an internal scoop holder and ice scoop come with the unit. This holder keeps the scoop out of the ice to ensure that it remains sanitary.
In order to support quick maintenance, the Koolaire KYT1700A/K970 ice maker with bin uses an air-cooled condensing unit that is self-contained. In the right conditions, it produces as much as 1,800 pounds of half-cube ice in a day, with each cube measuring 0.375 inch by 1.125 inches by 0.875 inch. Half-cube ice is excellent for operations that serve smoothies and milkshakes. The food zone, which is susceptible to scale buildup because it regularly touches water, can be conveniently accessed by removing two screws and a lift-off door. It has white plastic inside to show which areas are covered in dirt and grime.
