This ice maker has a water-cooled condenser that chills the condenser coils and refrigerant with a stream of water. Its exterior finish looks like stainless steel and resists fingerprints and rust.

The food zone includes any space that comes into contact with ice and water, and it is sealed to eliminate debris-trapping crevices. To help staff clearly see dirt and slime, the food zone has white plastic components. It can be accessed by removing two screws and a lift-off door. The pump, floats, water shield, distribution tube, and trough are removable without tools, and the entire unit can be cleaned with the push of a button.

The Koolaire KYT0420W/K420 ice machine with bin can store 383 pounds of ice. It has an 82-ounce scoop with a built-in holder that keeps the scoop out of the ice. This bin's exterior looks and feels like stainless steel, and its side panels are black to complement the ice machine. Its door is insulated with foam to prevent ice from melting and condensation from forming. When staff are scooping ice, the door props open so that it stays out of the user's way. This bin has four legs that can be adjusted to accommodate various heights.
