Crafted from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel, the Wusthof 1040100120 (formerly Wusthof 4582-7/20) Classic 8-inch-long cook's knife is a versatile tool that can easily cut, mince, and slice meat and vegetables. Its slightly curved blade is thin enough to cut through delicate fruits and soft vegetables and durable enough to slice through thick food items. By measuring the perfect knife point via laser-guided cutting, Precision Edge Technology yields this sharp blade. The carbon and steel combination creates a sturdy, full tang to balance the knife, and it's secured by three rivets on the knife's contoured handle. The handle, made of nonfading polyoxymethylene, is designed with a comfortable, ergonomic grip that can withstand long durations of use. The full bolster doubles as a finger guard, protecting users' fingers from the blade while mincing.
