Hobart HCM450-3 Description
Designed to rest on the floor, the Hobart HCM450-3 cutter mixer supports high-volume vegetable prepping needs. Its body is made of stainless steel wrapped in an epoxy coating and rests on a series of legs stamped in rubber at the end to protect the floor from scuffs. Its bowl has a capacity of 45 quarts, which is ideal for cutting massive amounts of fruit and vegetables; when operators need to retrieve the sliced product, they can tip the bowl on its hinge and pour it into a waiting receptacle. The bowl can then be sealed back up using the clear Lexan cover. To remove unwanted liquids from processed product, it ships with a poly strainer bowl.
With its five-horsepower motor, the Hobart HCM450-3 tilt mixer can rotate its durable two bladed knife at 1,140 rotations per minute. Giving it variety in function, its interior also features a mixing and kneading shaft to deliver an even, thorough mix. To monitor the unit, operators can utilize its 5-minute timer, and when that time has run out, the machine can either stop or enter a jog mode, spinning the elements slowly to ensure product does not settle. For cleaning purposes, the machine utilizes a safety interlock system to protect employees from injury.
