Complying with ADA height requirements, the True TUC-48-HC undercounter refrigerator has a 34-inch counter height. Its exterior front, top, and sides are finished with stainless steel, and its back is made of GalFan-coated steel to resist rust. The two stainless steel doors open with recessed handles and close by themselves to keep cold air inside the unit. However, when pulled past a 90-degree angle, these doors stay open for unhindered access. Inside the cabinet, a clear-coated aluminum liner eases cleanup, and stainless steel floors have coved corners without sharp angles, so food is less likely to get stuck.

The True TUC-48-HC undercounter refrigerator uses a balanced capillary tube system to hold a set temperature within a range of 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Its evaporator and condenser fans circulate cold air around food and through the wire shelves, keeping temperatures consistent. To reduce the amount of cold air that escapes, polyurethane insulation fills the doors and cabinet, while magnetic gaskets create a tight seal around the doors. For maintenance, the unit can be moved on its castors so that operators can reach the back, where the condenser slides out.

At the start of each cycle, the compressor’s fan motor runs in reverse to blow away dirt from the condensing coil. Maintaining a clean condensing coil helps lower energy consumption, improve efficiency, and lengthen unit lifespan. Routine preventive maintenance should still be carried out to optimize performance.
