The refrigeration system in this True TSD-69G-LD reach-in three-section refrigerator has an extra-large evaporator coil, large condenser, and high-horsepower compressor, so it can maintain food-safe temperatures between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperature is controlled by the user and shows up on the external digital display. For streamlined maintenance, the condensing unit is bottom mounted, and its compressor is located in the coolest and the most grease-free area of a kitchen.

Storage space is available on top of this refrigerator because of the condenser's placement. Using environmentally friendly R134A refrigerant, the True TSD-69G-LD reach-in refrigerator has a capillary tube system that is self-contained and factory engineered. Low-velocity, high-volume airflow is created by large fans to increase energy efficiency and eliminate hot spots inside.

Inside the refrigerator, surfaces—except for the floor—are covered in clear-coated aluminum, and the stainless steel floor has rounded corners that do not trap debris. In case of leaks, both the floor and PVC-coated shelves resist corrosion, and for convenience, the shelves are adjustable in ¹⁄₂-inch increments to fit various products. LED lighting and glass doors ensure contents are visible, cutting down on time spent searching for items. The doors slide closed on their own because they have a counterbalanced weight system.
