True Refrigeration TDD-2-HC Description
Since the True TDD-2-HC draft beer system can hold two half-barrel kegs, users can serve two kinds of beer at once. Beer is dispensed from two stainless steel, insulated towers that have cold air running through to prevent excess foam. To protect the interior when loading and unloading kegs, the stainless steel floor has a 1⁄2-inch reinforced lip and door threshold protector. Structure is provided by the steel frame rail and foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation.
The True TDD-2-HC draft beer system uses LED lighting to illuminate the interior. For accessibility, the two doors each have a 12-inch recessed handle, and gaskets around the doors prevent heat from entering. The front grill is removable to reveal the refrigeration system, which slides out for cleanup and maintenance. Upon start up, the compressor's fan motor blows debris, dirt, and dust off the condensing coil with reverse motion for 20 seconds. Because the coil is cleaned automatically, the unit runs more efficiently and reduces energy consumption. Although this self-cleaning feature prolongs the unit's lifespan, it doesn't replace the need for preventative maintenance. Its capillary tube system uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to cool contents, and fans consistently circulate cold air to ensure the interior stays at a set temperature between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit.

So far, not so thrilled
I was pretty excited to get a brand new cooler after dealing with used ones for the past 15 years. There are a lot of nice upgrades to the newer units. The evap fan runs backward on startup to clean any crud out of the condenser, has LED lighting, and an improved tapered drip tray to help with drainage. So what don't I like? It doesn't get cold enough. The temp control is new high tech programmable unit that you would think would be awesome. They claim that set at #4 your beer will be between 34 and 38 degrees. I'm up.to #9 maxed out and my beer just finally broke below 39 degrees. That doesn't cut it. Service guy teplaced the temp control and its exactly the same. Can I really be the only customer to ever have this happen? Someone has to know something. If it gets fixed I'll ammend my review

True manufacturing does not stand behind their product
Do not buy this product! Compressor failed within four years and true manufacturing would only cover the part. Labor to replace the part is nearly $700. I have tried to get true manufacturing to stand behind this item, but they will not. I will not be buying any more true manufacturing products for my restaurant, and I do not recommend anyone else does either. Even the tech agreed the compressor should not have failed, it was clean and well cared for.
Nice machine, and fast shipment.
I use this draft beer dispenser in the garage next to an attached deck for weekend entertainment. It is a super machine, and right now I have three 5.2 gal kegs plus a pony keg in it with room to spare. The only negatives I have don't impact me. I would not recommend for inside the home, since it's little noisy, and condensation causes some drips on the floor. But in the garage it's not a problem. Also the headroom limits the taller 5.2 gal kegs to the front of the compartment, but you can still get four or five in there.
