Fan motors in the unit are electronically commutated, moving cold air consistently without wasting energy or producing excess heat. Since the system is top mounted, it does not suck in dirt and debris from the floor, though it is close to grease in the air. To help manage dirt and dust collection on the condensing coil, this unit's fan motor blows in a reverse direction for 20 seconds when the unit is first turned on, removing buildup.
