Manitowoc Ice IRT0500A Description
The Manitowoc IRP0500A Indigo NXT™ ice machine head has an air-cooled condensing unit and can produce 509 pounds of regular-size ice cubes every day. To suit different applications and fit into the hours of any operation, the ice production can be programmed. Ice thickness is measured by a sensing probe, ensuring it's the ideal size. Operation is simple with the easyTouch® display, and the unit runs 24-hour preventive maintenance and gives diagnostic feedback. It has a stainless steel exterior, and with a DuraTech® container, it resists dirt and fingerprints.
A front door on the Manitowoc IRP0500A ice maker head swings open so the foodzone can be cleaned. Inside, a water trough, distribution tube, curtain, water probe, and water pump can be removed for deep cleaning. In between cleanings, certain components remain sanitized with the AlphaSan® antimicrobial agent. Able to fit on top of a D-400 or D-570 ice storage bin, this ice maker is 30 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 21.5 inches high.
Note: This unit must be paired with an ice maker bin or ice dispenser.

So far, so good
Have had the machine for 2 weeks. Installation was easy. It fit atop Hoshizaki ice bin (we replaced that brand's ice maker). It's faster than our previous machine and makes very pretty cubes that are great for cocktails.
Wow. This is the best ice maker we have ever owned.
We bought the 500 Lb producing in 24 hours but is is more like 14 hours. Love the machine. We also updated to the compatible base. It is better insulated than previous years. I reccomend if purchasing the new head buy the new compatible base it is worth the money. We won't regret this investment ever.
