Manitowoc Ice IDT1500N/JCT1500/D970/RL50R410A Description
The Manitowoc Ice IDT-1500N/D-970 Indigo NXT™ ice maker with bin can produce 1,710 pounds of 0.875-inch-by-0.875-inch-by-0.875-inch ice cubes. This full-cube ice is large and slow melting, making it perfect for beverages. While cube ice keeps drinks cool, it takes longer to chill liquids than small ice types. To ensure ice has a consistent thickness, an acoustical sensing probe checks it before it is moved to the bin. Production can be programmed to fit into a time period or certain daily volume.
The ice maker's touchscreen display simplifies operation by providing information on the operating status and alerts. Since the ice machine head has a swing-out door, operators can easily access the components, some of which are removable and made with an antimicrobial agent. A remote condenser, which is sold separately, dissipates heat away from the ice machine head. This lowers ambient air temperature around the unit to prevent it from working too hard.
As much as 882 pounds of ice fits in the Manitowoc Ice IDT-1500N/D-970 ice machine with bin. Since the bin liner is made of polyurethane, it is durable and corrosion resistant. Grips are integrated into the door on the left side, right side, and center, so operators can open it from different angles. An ice scoop is included with the bin; its built-in knuckle and thumb guards prevent hands from contaminating ice.
